Starting in 2018 we will be supporting the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society's Grizzly Bear protection program. (Southern Alberta Chapter)
CPAWS Southern Alberta takes a science-based approach as they work to
*Decrease habitat disturbances from roads and trails to ensure bears can move freely on a connected landscape.
* Reduce the rate of grizzly bear deaths through land management planning and policy.
*Reduce grizzly bear conflicts through public education.
Funding from the program helps CPAWS Southern Alberta to work with government and land users to protect grizzly bear habitat, and create land management plans that reduce disturbances from trails and roads.
