ACCESS DAY

torn paper

We welcome you to join us on Access Day, our annual day where we invite people with disabilities to visit the Greater Vancouver Zoo at a reduced rate.

This year’s Access Day will be on: Monday, June 4th, 2018 9:00am-7:00pm

Admission to the Zoo:

  • $5.00 per person
  • Assistants receive free admission!
  • Parking: $6.00 per vehicle. Buses park free in the lower lot

Payment options:

  1. Credit card: If you plan to pay by credit card, please indicate so on your registration form or telephone in advance with the credit card information and you will be able to use the express line for admission to the zoo. Credit cards are not charged in advance; we will simply hold the number on file, confirm the final number of participants with you at the front gate, and process the card later that day.
  2. You may also pay by cash or debit at the front admissions gate, but due to the popularity of this event, there may be long line ups.

No train rides will be available:

  1.  We retired our Safari Express Miniature train in October 2017. We may not have a replacement in place for Access Day and thus will not hosting a train lottery this year.

Registration

  1.  Registration for Access Day opens April 3rd and will close Friday, May 25th, 2018. To guarantee your reduced admission rate, please send a completed registration form via email or fax. A confirmation number will be assigned within 7 business days.

The Greater Vancouver Zoo is committed to complying with the British Columbia Guide and Service Dog Act and Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums standards to ensure that all individuals have an equal opportunity to visit our facility.
